to shut down the interstate. good afternoon, everyone. i am sarah caldwell. major problems during this morning's commute caused by last night's storm, including a jackknifed tractor-trailer on i- 70 as traffic has been stalled for hours. jennifer franciotti has been on the snow patrols since the wee hours of the morning and is live in north baltimore with more. >> the good news is the rain had stopped, the sun is starting to come out, and we are dealing with what roadways. but it was a much different story this morning. salt trucks were busy overnight keeping up with the freezing rain. here at falls and cold spring in north baltimore. crews were hard at work over the area, turning the ice into slush for the morning commute, which turned out to be quite a mess. with such treacherous road conditions, by 6:00 a.m. there were already over 200 closings and delays. >> almost half of the systems are closed because of the weather and we have a long list for you. >> the overnight delays left a scrapable coating on cars. >> i was very worried because i hate driving and ice storms. it is cra
